This is the perfect companion for your Leatherman Wave. It's a perfect fit for the tool, and holds it very snugly. However, as previously noted, it's got a Velcro fastener instead of a snap. I don't fully understand the rationale for this decision, but after 2 and a half years of frequent use, the Velcro on mine is pretty much worn out. Additionally, the nylon belt loop on the back is beginning to tear and unstitch from the pouch. I expect to have to replace it in the near future.
These flaws, however, are made up for by the very low price Leatherman asks for the product. I have no qualms about buying another.

This is a pretty good sheath. The pockets are a bit small, everything has to be worked at to get out with my wave, bit card, and lighter in the sheath. Horizontal belt loop are small. The hole on the bottom of the sheath for carrying the wave open is getting a bit ragged and I have only been carrying it for about 6 months. But overall a pretty nice sheath.Customer Review: shealth

Leatherman needs to wake up as a company. What's with the new-found love for Velcro? What happened to the old fashioned snap-button closures? The ones that don't wear out after a few months of normal use and make about 1/6th the noise when you engage them? And is the sheath about twice the size of the old-style Wave sheath? Yes, to hold all the bits that you might use once a year. Still better than the leather version. Sad to see that Leatherman, Oakley and the rest of them are trying to fix things that definitely were not broken.Customer Review: Rubbish

I've purchased two different cases for my Leatherman Wave and both broke in the same place. The webbed belt loop will break within a month of use dont buy this product look for a leather case instead.
