The Blade Launcher is just the start of a long list of features and versatility on this folder. It offers more usefulness than thought possible in a pocketknife this size. A proprietary bit driver combines with a bit holder integrated into the handle to provide six screw bits. A 154 CM blade, locking carabiner-bottle opener and removable pocket clip complete this compact workhorse. Bit Driver (not included): Carry six screwdrivers in the space of two. Versatile bit drivers come with double-ended bits that quickly change to fit the demands of the day's work. Included in 830314, 830315 or 830316 are Phillips #1 and 2, 1/8" 3/16" and 1/4" width flathead, and #15 Torx. Additional accessory bits are available. Blade Launcher: No springs required. A little Leatherman ingenuity and the flick of a finger are all that are needed to put the knife blade to work. Special materials help make the action smooth and easy, and the finger tab disappears into the handle once the blade is deployed. Nothing else on the market operates this simply or this well. Customer Review: Rough and tough little knife...

O.k. let me start off by saying I have owned this knife for about 4 years now. I carry it everyday, even to my grandmothers funeral. I ALWAYS have this knife with me. I am a welder by trade, so it has seen the worst that this planet can throw at it. I have dropped it off a 4 story building, had it run over by a forklift quite a few times, as well as a bunch of other crap that happens out on jobs. Its a champ. I have owned so many knives over the years, and never really loved any of them like I love this knife. About a year ago when I found out Leatherman had retired this knife I bought two more just so I would know that if I ever lost this one I would have a spare.
Really, I use this thing daily. The screwdriver alone has saved my butt more times that I can count. I hardly use the "bottle opener" for what its meant to be used for. I have found it works for putting a rope on and using it like a monkey paw. I have thrown it up over many a branch. Never even had the blade pop out while doing it either. That takes me onto the blade assist flicker thingy. It took a few nights of playing with it to get it down, but now I can flick out the blade without a second thought.
I cannot say enough about how great this knife has been. If you clean it with a q-tip and a cloth every 6 months or so, and sharpen it about once a month it will last you forever. Water, blood, grease, gasoline, mud, muck... it has seen it all and still looks great. I am going to post a pic of it in the user pics for this item if I can.
Buy it or don't. Just know that I have found this knife to be the most reliable knife I have ever owned.
