I had bought my first Leatherman tool about 5 years ago, after asking someone if they had a pliers or something similar that I needed to get fix something, what I was handed was a Leatherman, I had to have one myself now. On my last trip to Orlando FL, I forgot to put my Leatherman in suitcase there for I had it in my carry-on, at Security I was informed I could not bring it aboard, I told them to keep it I'll get a new one.
This one is the one that I got now, even better then the one I had before! Even a few guys a work bought it as well. Everyone is impressed with the flexibility and all the applications of my new Leatherman! For any one that likes to have tools it is the perfect gift!

I own several multitools (including the original Wave) and feel this is the best of the bunch. I use it daily in my profession as an HVAC Service Technician, it's like having a third hand. Leatherman did their homework and made excellent improvements with the NEW Wave. Locks on all the implements make it safer and more useful. (Having said that I'll have to digress for a second... I like the reversible screwdriver system but would like to see a tighter fit, I'm concerned about how easily the bits come out). BETTER KNIFE BLADES!! excellent design on the serrated blade...it works brilliantly.
If you're planning to buy a multitool this one will be a great addition to your toolbox.

i have the older model of this tool (wave). it never leaves my side. useful for any handyman or even an aspiring one. 10 ten years of hard work have only made it more useful. No bits to lose, not to mention a full #2 phillips instead of that skinny new thing. just today i slid the mid-sized flathead into a random squarebit screw holding up a shelf. worked like a charm and saved me 15 min. it's a little trimmer, rounder in the body than the new one which fits better in the hand. plus the new one has those lock clip sticking out that get snagged on everything.
bottom line: no multitool is tougher, or more useful in a jam.
o'... and they don't make 'em like they used too.

I've owned several pocket tools throughout the years and nothing comes close to the quality of a Leatherman. I use this everyday. This is my 3rd one... not because of any problems, just lost the first one at a job site, and the second one I forgot to take off at the airport, and since my flight time was too near, had to give it to the TSA. Leatherman's are so handy and used, you feel naked without one, and go through withdraw within a day of not having one on your belt. Personally worth having in every car and boat for emergency repairs. You'll be amazed at how little things there are that the Leatherman Wave CAN'T do... amazing tool.Customer Review: Great Tool

I bought this tool at The Home Depot yesterday for only $75, do the same if you need it quick, and i couldn't be happier. The knives are on the outside of the tool when it is closed which makes it a lot easier to get to them. The main selling point for me was the blade location, however the small screwdriver is very helpful. Since I have glasses, I always have to carry a screwdriver to fix them, because the small screwdriver in this fits the screws for glasses, it replaces yet another tool i have to carry. The Leatherman tools are very durable and I would recommend this to anyone who uses tools but does not want to carry a tool box.
